Miss Bridget Bailey

‘I hesitate to use the word “fashion” in describing Bridget Bailey’s creations as her millinery self-evidently transcends time and place. In fact, I also hesitate with the term “millinery”. I once described her work for The Times as “modern, feminine and subversively floral” after being seriously stunned by examples at the Chelsea Flower Show. Bailey Tomlin’s bespoke headpieces and accessories stand as artworks in their own right, they will be as stylish and inspiring a hundred years’ into the future as they are right here right now, and are destined to be museum-pieces of the future. I see them as Fabergé flowers in fabric, and just as precious.’ Rob Cassy. Author and journalist.

“Bridget Bailey is an artist who makes delicate hats and headpieces beautifully. They are treasured adornments, made with skilled hands and a light touch.” The Hat Magazine.
