Mountain Village Provence
Late afernoon looking on to Oppedette one of the many mountain villages near Saint Michel in Provence France. At this time of day the fading sun catches parts of the village which is built on the hillside. The light has a yellowish glow which contrasts with the blue shadows of the surrounding trees. The work is acrylic on paper.

Allan Black

Allan Black studied at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1980 with a BA(hons) in Fine Art specialising in printing. His interest moved to painting, his work being landscape based but having an abstract feel. His earlier works were based on rubbings and sketches made in his back garden which was an old cemetery. He has had solo exhibitions in Ohio, South Carolina, Germany and Scotland. He has been involved in group shows in Germany, France, England, Scotland and USA. He is an artist member of the Paisley Art Institute. He has been a regular exhibiter at the Augenweide Gallery Munster, Germany.
